It’s a peaceful morning. The birds are chirping. The water is calm. And the world is only but slowly awakening as I hear but a few cars driving on the road close by. It’s during these early moments of dawn that we can here the sounds of both morning and night, as the tree frogs finish their 12 hour shift. The peaceful transitions of nature. We can probably learn a lot from them if we paused long enough.

The morning birds were loud initially. Chirping to wake their neighbors. But now they are far and few between. Perhaps they stop after awhile if they feel that it’s not the right time yet. I hear the tree frogs consistently. But then I take my attention away from them for a single moment and their chorus has quietened dramatically. Do they go off to bed once the world around them continues to rise? The sounds are beginning to compete with one another. The peaceful display of symmetry is almost non existent as the sounds continue to collide. But perhaps this is the crescendo of the two worlds clashing before pure harmony is actually reached. Before the peace of resting in true balance. In true purpose. Just as God intended things to be.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to pause for a moment to witness it all. And I wonder for how long this dance continues until we see and feel the ultimate equilibrium that allows our natural world to effortlessly shine.
